Dear CS Aylmer Members,

We would like to inform you of an important change that will take effect starting with the 2027 season, following the age category restructuring announced by Canada Soccer.

New Age Category Structure

Beginning with the 2027 season, the age categories will be organized as follows:

• U8/U9 (2019–2018): 5-a-side soccer

• U10/U11 (2017–2016): 7-a-side soccer

• U12/U13 (2015–2014): 9-a-side soccer

• U14 and older (2013 and earlier): 11-a-side soccer

This new structure replaces the current model, in which 9-a-side soccer began at the U11/U12 level and 11-a-side soccer began at U13.

In addition, the Lac-Saint-Louis region will now offer LDIR competitions beginning at the U12/U13 (9-a-side) level, providing a new development pathway for players.

To prepare for this transition, our club is already working diligently to adapt to the new structure. However, we are still awaiting further clarification from the governing bodies before we can officially confirm all of the changes associated with this new format.

Over the coming months, we will share additional information regarding the organization of the 2027 season, as well as the team formation process.
